Well, here we are a week into our holidays and my wife and I are off on another jaunt.
Rather than bore you with the details, let's just say that when we left Melbourne I was in shorts and a t-shirt, but at our first destination I'll need to rug up a bit!
If you want to know where we are over the next few weeks you'll just have to log in from time to time.
When we checked in at Melbourne we asked if there was any chance of changing to exit row seats, which they did straight away, and at no cost. Bingo!!
As the seats were so hard and fairly narrow, we were so glad to snag these on the 13 hour flight to Abu Dhabi.
Then when we got to Abu Dhabi we tried it again and have now scored exit row seats for the next leg as well.
My wife pre-ordered gluten free meals, but they had none on board which was a shame, so they gave her some fruit and a bowl of rice.it looked like a prison meal!
But I shouldn't laugh because I ate the meals that were dished up to me (which weren't all that flash) and now I feel like rubbish, whereas she feels great after eating a lot healthier!
We are hoping to really add to our fridge collection of bottle openers.

In the airport at Abu Dhabi, the amount of cigarettes on sale is mind boggling, something that we are definitely not familiar with in Australia.
So where will we land after this next flight?
